Plants need lots of stuff to thrive – but mostly nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium! If you go to your local hardware store and buy plant fertilizer it’s label will have a series of 3 number (i.e. 10-10-10). Those numbers represent the amount of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and (K) Potassium in the fertilizer.
Fish food is designed for the nutritional needs of fish, not plants. Because of this, certain nutrients need to be supplemented in an Aquaponic system. Those include:
